Ilan Dar is a theatre, film, and television actor. Dar left a permanent mark on Israeli television when he played Ilan in the timeless sitcom, Krovim Krovim (‘nearby relatives’). Dar has appeared on just about every repertoire theatre stage in the country. In 1978, he became a permanent cast member in the Cameri Theatre company until 1995, when he then switched over to the Beit Lessin Theatre. Highlights of his film credits include Not a Word to Morgeinstein (Arieh Elias, Benjamin Koretzki, and Ben Oyserman, 1963), Two Heartbeats (Shmuel Imberman, 1982), Rak Hayom (‘today only’) (Ze’ev Revach, 1976), Boy Meets Girl (Michal Bat-Adam, 1982), Tehilim (Raphaël Nadjari, 2007), and Mossad (Alon Gur Arye, 2019). In 2014, Dar was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Ophir award for his performance in Tal Granit and Sharon Maymon’s film, The Farewell Party.
