Dan is wounded in a light aircraft crash and becomes infertile. But despite his inability to have children and his partner’s parents’ staunch opposition, the couple still marry. As a student, Dan used to supplement his income with the occasional sperm donation. Now, in a bad way and longing to become a father, he finds himself reaching out to the last woman who had become pregnant by his donation. Their encounter ends up upending both their lives, and their partners’. The film’s theme song, By the End of the Summer (‘ad sof hakaitz’), written by Ehud Manor and Misha Segal and performed by Eli Dagan, became a huge hit that has since been covered many times
