A Biography of Theodor Herzl a journalist, playwright, political activist, the man who through his work and idea led to the foundation of the state of Israel. The film opens with the birth of Herzl, goes through the different stages of his life: marriage, the coverage of the Dreyfus trial, Zionist congresses, lobbying with world leaders, and so forth until his death. the movie continues until his dream of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine becomes true. The film is a montage of diverse visual materials: archive clips, historical photographs, new videos, and interviews, works of art (from ancient mosaics to works by artists such as Maurice Gottlieb and Marc Chagall) and more. The soundtrack of the film consists of words written by Herzl and narration that gives a historical background/ the original music is the work of Yosef (Yossi) Mar Chaim.
