Three-time Ophir Award winner, Moshe Ivgy, has been one of Israel’s most active and successful actors from the late 1980s and well into the 2010s. Over the years, he has appeared in countless plays on the Kahn, Cameri, and Haifa Theatre stages, as well as starring in a wide range of films and TV series including Indian in the Sun (Ram Loevy, 1981), Bread (Ram Loevy, 1986), Franco and Spector (2003), The Arbitrator (Reshef Levi and Shay Kanot, 2007), and Zaguri (Maor Zaguri, 2014). His film career spans many a genre, from working class, folk comedies through arthouse films and all the way to Hollywood productions. Highlights of his film credits include Big Shots (Jacob Goldwasser, 1982), Kuni Leml in Cairo (Joel Silberg, 1983), Night Movie (Gur Heller, 1986), Shuroo (Savi Gabizon, 1990), Cup Final (Eran Riklis, 1991), Max and Morris (Jacob Goldwasser, 1994), Lovesick on Nana Street (Savi Gabizon, 1995), The Investigation Must Go On (Marek Rozenbaum, 2000), Spartan (David Mamet, 2004), Metallic Blues (Dan Verete, 2004), Campfire (Joseph Cedar, 2004), 7 Days (Ronit & Shlomi Elkabetz, 2008), and The Cutoff Man (Idan Hubel, 2013). The film, And on The Third Day (2010) marked Ivgy’s directorial debut, in addition to also having the starring role.
