A political, mockumentary-esque satire set around a football match whose outcome will allegedly decide the Israeli-Palestinian conflict once and for all, with the winner getting to claim sovereignty of the whole land. The film, which mimics the style and form of a documentary, follows the chairs of both the Israeli and Palestinian football associations throughout the course of training sessions, press conferences, and all other preparations ahead of the fateful match. Moshe Ivgy and Norman Issa who play the Israeli and Palestinian FA Chairs, were the joint winners of the Best Actor award at the Haifa International Film Festival, whilst Issa’s performance also landed him an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actor.
