In his second feature film, director Shemi Zarhin pays homage to film noir, musicals, and theatre. Tzvia (Gila Almagor), a prominent stage actor currently starring in a thriller play titled Dangerous Acts is living with the trauma of having lost her husband, son-in-law, and pregnant daughter in a car crash three years earlier. One night, Israel (Moshe Ivgy) – the man who caused the horrific accident, shows up at her doorstep. Following his release from prison, he has come to ask for her forgiveness. The two form an obsessive attachment as, over time, the line between reality and stage becomes increasingly blurred.
Dangerous Acts took home a total of seven Ophir Awards, winning Best Director, Cinematography, Editing, Set Design, Costume Design, Sound Design, and Soundtrack categories.
