Yigal Sade is an Israeli theatre and film actor. Sade went to Thelma Yellin High School of Arts in Tel Aviv’s neighbouring Givatayim, where he studied theatre through to graduation. His time in the military was spent in the IDF Theatre and on completion of his service, he went on to enrol and study acting at the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts. Sade next joined the Beersheba Theatre company before moving, later on, to Jerusalem’s Khan Theatre. Then, in 2002, he joined the Habima National Theatre’s actors company with which his name has since become synonymous. Highlights of his stage credits include: The Taming of the Shrew, Death of a Salesman, The Egg, The Night of the Twentieth, The Servant of Two Masters, Three Sisters, The Rose Tattoo, The Merchant of Venice, Measure for Measure, The Seagull, Mary Lou, and Les Misérables.
Highlights of his television credits include: 101, Love Round the Corner (aka ‘ahava me’ever lapina’), and Big Head (aka ‘rosh gadol’).
Sade is a frequent collaborator of director and filmmaker, Michal Bat-Adam. Highlights of his film credits include: Love at Second Sight (Michal Bat-Adam, 1998), Life is Life (Michal Bat-Adam, 2002), Rita, Working Title (aka ‘rita shem zemani’) (Michal Bat-Adam, 2007), A Weekend in the Galilee (‘sof shavua be-Galil’) (Moshé Mizrahi, 2008), The Human Resources Manager (Eran Riklis, 2010), The Road to Where (Michal Bat-Adam, 2016).
