Avi Mograbi’s documentary follows the testimony of a former soldier as he recounts his involvement in a revenge plot that ended up claiming the lives of two Palestinian police officers. The soldier has agreed to testify of his own volition on the condition that he remain anonymous. Mograbi had to come up with a solution that would allow him to mask the soldier’s face, whilst still capturing its expressiveness; a challenge that would present him with quite the moral dilemma: why is he going to such lengths to protect the identity of a murderer instead of simply exposing him on camera and turning him in, thereby doing the right, moral thing?
