An excerpt from Youth in Israel, a documentary about Israels young generation, produced by Histadruts Culture and Education Center.
If you play in a band, you have to live accordingly, because you have concerts and rehearsals. This lifestyle causes a lot of conflicts between parents and their children, says Yoram Lubling, a guitar player in the high school band Motti Dichne and the Skulls. Members of the ensemble, which was one of the first Israeli bands to write songs in English, play and converse with their schoolmates. Conversation topics include education, sex, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
