Co-directors Ori Inbar and Doron Tsabari’s graduation film from Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies is based on a short story by Amnon Dankner titled Ramler’s Brother. From the moment he is stationed at a new military base known for the “difficult personalities” onsite, non-commissioned officer Shlomo Driks becomes the victim of relentless bullying, both at the hands of soldiers and their commanders. After his direct commander punishes him and orders him to clean up one of the courtyards at the base, one of the soldiers mistakes him for the brother of top tier Maccabee Tel Aviv footballer, Eli Driks. Having had so much relentless abuse, Shlomo does not deny it. From that moment on, his life at the base dramatically improves and the bullying stops – that is, until the truth eventually comes out.
