Bauman, a former academic, lives in an old Tel Aviv shack and collects all Bauhaus-related paraphernalia and tat. One day, his closed-off world is invaded by Phares, a Palestinian cleaner whose father’s orchard once stood where Bauman’s shack is now. A beautiful Italian missionary who has parked her caravan in the yard then becomes the latest addition to this odd couple. The two new tenants join Bauman on his difficult path en route to fulfilling his age-old dream – restoring The Flying Camel statue, a once-iconic Tel Aviv 1930s landmark.
