Director Leonid Gorovets paints a portrait of an artist in exile. Valerie, a great Russian actor who has moved to Israel, hopes to resume his successful career in his new, adoptive country; however, he soon comes to realise that the challenges of being an immigrant, along with the cultural and language barrier are far greater than he’d ever imagined. The film was featured at many festivals, both locally and internationally, including the Cannes Film Festival (as part of the Panorama section), the Montreal World Film Festival, and the Jerusalem Film Festival.
