Meni Elias is a cinematographer, director, and documentary film producer. His award-winning films have been shown at countless festivals in Israel and all over the world. Elias has shot a great many documentaries including Citizen Nawi (Nissim Mossek, 2007), The Electric Stage: A Rock ‘n Roll Legend (Nissim Mossek, 2008), and Just Like the Queen of England (Micha Shagrir, 2009), to name but a few. Elias also produced and shot Gil Karni’s 2005 film, Troubled Water, which was featured at many festivals round the world. Troubled Water took home the coveted Best Film award at the Israeli Documentary Film Awards, in addition to winning Elias, himself, a Best Cinematography award. Highlights of his other directorial credits include When Israel Went Out (2010) which won the Audience Choice award at the San Diego International Film Festival, The Escape (2013), and The Jerusalem Dream (2015).
