Irit Sheleg is a film and theatre actress. In the 1980s, Sheleg was a regular on the Cameri Theatre stage whilst at the same time, taking her first steps in front of a camera. Highlights of her film credits include: Lo L’Shidur (‘not for airing’) (Yeud Levanon, 1981), The Ladies’ Hairdresser (Ze’ev Revach, 1984), Into the Night (Eitan Green, 1985), Bar 51 (Amos Guttman, 1986), Fictitious Marriage (Haim Bouzaglo, 1988), Abba Ganuv III (‘hell of a dad’) (Ayelet Menahemi, 19991), The Wedding Plan (Rama Burshtein, 2016), and Working Woman (Michal Aviad, 2018). Her role in Rama Burshtein’s 2012 film, Fill the Void, won Sheleg an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actress. Sheleg’s TV credits include the series Shtisel, Sirens, Asylum City, The Missing File, and many more.
Sheleg is the former partner of actor Moshe Ivgy, and mother of actress Dana Ivgy.
