Dov Reiser is an Israeli stage, television, and film actor, and voice talent. Reiser, a graduate of the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts, has appeared on Cameri and Beersheba Theatre stages and since the 1980s, he has been a member of the Habima National Theatre’s actors company. Highlights of his stage credits include The Threepenny Opera, The Birthday Party, Ricky’s Kindergarten (aka ‘gan riki’), Tartuffe, The Cherry Orchard, The Servant of Two Masters, The Visit, My Fair Lady, Three Sisters, and Road Signs: The Story of Naomi Shemer.
Generations of Israeli children and their parents will remember Reiser as the voice behind the Hebrew version of Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster. Highlights of other children’s animated programmes and films which Reiser has lent his voice to include Ox Tales, Once Upon a Time… Life, Dragon Ball Z, Care Bears, Alfred J. Kwak, Shoe People, Beauty and the Beast, Monsters Inc., Frozen, Smurfs – The Lost Village, and Wreck-it Ralph.
Highlights of his live action series credits include Zehu Ze! (‘this is it’), 3, 4, 5 and a Half, Saturday Night, Teen Reading, All Broken in the Family, The Pyjamas, Temporarily Dead, Girlfriends (aka ‘haverot’), and Nebsu.
Highlights of his film credits include The Great Telephone Robbery (Menahem Golan, 1972), Dizengoff 99 (Avi Nesher, 1979), Batito on Benefits (aka ‘ha-muvtal Batito’) (Ze’ev Revach, 1979), The Galilee Eskimos (Jonathan Paz, 2007), and Rita, Working Title (aka ‘rita shem zemani’) (Michal Bat Adam, 2007).
