Doval’e (Dov) Glickman is an actor and comedian. Glickman was a series regular on legendary comedy sketch show, Zehu Ze! (‘that’s it!’) from the mid-1980s until its 1998 cancellation (in 2020, following the COVID-19 outbreak in Israel, Glickman and his castmates reunited for a Zehu Ze! revival season.) Glickman spent his military service in the IDF’s naval music ensemble (‘lehakat heyl hayam’), appearing in a number of specials and variety shows that produced a string of hits including No Turning Back Now (‘ein kvar derech hazara’), Only in Israel (‘rak be’Israel), and Jidisze Piraten (‘Yiddish pirates’).
In the mid-1970s, Glickman started appearing in films. Highlights of his acting credits include: Paratroopers (Judd Ne’man, 1977), The Band (Avi Nesher, 1978), The End of Milton Levy (Nissim Dayan, 1981), Lena (Eitan Green, 1981), and Dear Mr. Waldman (Hanan Peled, 2006). Glickman’s performance in the film, Big Bad Wolves (Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, 2013) won him an award at the Fantasporto Festival. His role in Laces (Jacob Goldwasser, 2018) won him an Ophir Award in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Glickman has also appeared in countless TV series, including Stockholm and Shtisel. His part in the latter made him a two-time Best Actor Television Academy award-winner.
