Gilat Ankori is a film, television, and theatre actress. Ankori studied at Tel Aviv University’s Department of Theatre Arts and got her big acting break when she was cast in Avi Nesher’s debut film, The Band (1978). She later also appeared in a host of other films including: My Mother the General (Joel Silberg, 1979), Marriage Tel Aviv Style (Joel Silberg, 1979), Dizengoff 99 (Avi Nesher, 1979), 5 and 5 (Shmuel Imberman, 1980), The Revenge of Itzik Finkelstein (Enrique Rottenberg, 1993), The Flying Camel (Rami Na’aman, 1994), Lost Islands (Reshef Levi, 2008), Everything is Broken up and Dances (Nony Geffen, 2016). Between 1995-2000, Ankori played the iconic Idit Linovich in the primetime soap, Ramat Aviv Gimmel. Her other TV credits include Asfur, Chill, and Oboy.
