The film Secrets of Jerusalem, which was produced by the Israel Film Service, describes archeological finds from the 1st and 2nd Temple period that were buried under the city of Jerusalem. Announcer Reuven Morgan embarks on a fascinating tour of the citys antiquities from the Stone Age, the time of the conquest of the city by King David and it is becoming the capital of the Kingdom of Israel, the 1st Temple period built by Solomon, findings from Nebuchadnezzars rise to Jerusalem and its destruction, the Return to Zion at Ezra and Nechemya days, The destruction of the 2nd Temple and the period of Roman rule in the city. Throughout the film, professors of archeology are interviewed, among them: Yigal Shilo, Gabi Barkai, Hillel Geva, and Meir Ben Dov, who tell about the evidence they found in the archeological excavations that describe life in the city at various times throughout history.
