On the 21st anniversary of the Slovakian uprising against the Nazis during World War II, the President of Czechoslovakia honors Jewish volunteers who took part in the Slovak uprising against Nazi Germany, and are now Israeli citizens, as well as the relatives of the fallen paratroopers of the Jewish Yishuv who were caught by the Germans. The honorary decorations are awarded at the Sokolov House in Tel Aviv by the Czechoslovak Minister in Israel to 64 Jews, among them relatives of the four Yishuv paratroopers Haviva Reik, Aba Berdičev, Cvi Ben Jaakov and Refael Reisz.
