Prime Minister Levi Eshkols visits France. Eshkol and his wife Miriam meet with Premier of Dahomey Justin Ahomadégbé-Tomêtin (who would visit Israel shortly after). Later, Eshkol attends the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and is accompanied by Director-General of UNESCO René Maheu. Eshkol signs the guest book. At a cocktail party in his honor, Eshkol shakes hands with former Prime Minister of France Pierre Mendès France, French Education Minister Christian Fouchet, French Foreign Affairs Minister Maurice Couve de Murville, and others. Eshkols hotel in Paris, the Bristol, also hosts Prime Minister of Turkey, İsmet İnönü. The two leaders meet in the hallway, shake hands and talk. Finally, Eshkol tours a farm together with the French Minister of Agriculture Edgard Pisani.
