First Commissioner Herbert Samuels first visit to Rishon Lezion, a few weeks after taking office. The Commissioner and his entourage receive a solemn welcome from the Moshavas children and residents carrying flags and vines. The commissioner tours the Moshava and visits the synagogue and the winery, where Zeev Gluskin, one of the Carmel Winery founders, reads a blessing, and the commissioner blesses the Blessing on Wine and Grape Juice. The commissioner, officials, and religious leaders then toss grape baskets into the winepress.
