Landscapes and sights in Ramla. The Old City, the Franciscan Church, the White Tower compound and ancient ruins. Construction work in a different area of the city. A worker aligns the ground. Exploding rocks with dynamite. House construction. Small streets with passing cars and pedestrians. Ramla Mayor Meir Melamed visits the Nesher cement factory and other factories in the citys industrial zone. The mayor and his entourage arrive at a festive ceremony for a new factory. The mayor cuts the ceremonial ribbon. Factory workers operating the production line by machinery. A large sign on the city hall building declaring of the sixth Independence Day in Ramla. A military parade is held on the main city road. Thousands of spectators observe the parade from rooftops. Various notables on dais, including Moshe Dayan, President Yitzhak Ben Zvi, Pinchas Lavon, Moshe Sharett, David and Paula Ben Gurion. Various military units participate in the procession, including female soldiers, a naval unit, a jeep convoy, a military orchestra, flag bearers, a communications unit. The crowd cheers.
