Inauguration of the New Central Post Office at Jerusalem

The view of the new post office on Jaffa Street in Jerusalem, people walk near the building and cars passing by on the road. A large audience including Arabs, rabbis, priests, soldiers and policemen of the Mandate. Among the dignitaries at the entrance of the building is Rabbi Yitzhak Herzog, Menachem Ussishkin and his wife Ester. The post office was designed by the British architect Austen Harrison and engineer Yehuda Shapira (both are possibly present in the group of people standing at the entrance of the building). The High Commissioner, Sir Harold McMichael, exits his car and goes into the building. Outside the building on Jaffa Street, a large crowd of people stand on both sides of the street. The High Commissioner Sir Harold McMichael leaves the building, bidding farewell to the crowd and enters his car.
