The story of Eliyahu Sasson (19021979), an Arabist, intelligence official, diplomat and minister in the Israeli government whose life story is woven into the history Israel. Sassons character stood out as a JewArab, a man who knew the Middle East in its own right, well understood the moves of his leaders and knew most of them personally. Throughout his career, from his childhood in Damascus to the time he was a minister in the Israeli government, he saw the Arabs as a close neighbor, whose circumstances caused a conflict with him and which bridges had to be found and kept in constant contact to end the conflict. The film contains many archive footage, in which Sasson was a partner (The events of 1938, the massacre in Hebron, the great Arab uprising in 1936, the British takeover of the uprising and its cessation, Jerusalem during World War II, Jerusalem during the War of Independence, the Arab Salvation Army, besieged Jerusalem, and more).
Interviews with his son Moshe Sasson, his daughter Ora Yaffe, Dr. Ran Yaron, Yitzhak Navon, Phyllis Palgi, his soninlaw Rafi Levy, Uri Lubrani, Danny Rubinstein, his grandchildren Orna Tamir and Amikam Levy.
