A Documentary produced for the United Palestine Appeal (Later a part of the United Jewish Appeal). It presents portrait of Jewish industriousness in the Holy Land in 1946. We follow the journey of an American soldier who fought in Europe during WWII, as he visits the country as a tourist. This is a time before the establishment of the State of Israel, when even Zionist sources reffered to it a Palestine. The soldier travels from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, continues to the Sea of Galilee and concludes his journey in modern Tel Aviv. Jewish agriculture and science represent to him the future, while the Arabs of the land are dismissed as representing the past. Between the lines, viewers are encouraged to deonate to the appeal.
