A documentary short by Helga Cranston (later Keller) about the then-young city of Ashdod in1961 when it was still surrounded by sand dunes and was about to get its own major seaport. The film describes with tongue-in-cheek undertones, the arrival of new immigrants; the majority of whom were of Moroccan descent at the desolate and sandy region; their settling into the just-built housing estates, and the course of their life that has seen some changes since their arrival. The voice-over to the film was written by Haim Hefer and is narrated by Yossi Banai.
