Prime Minister Golda Meir delivers a political and security speech in the Knesset in which she refers to the talks of the four powers (Soviet Union, United States, Britain, and France) to formulate an agreement to resolve the crisis in the Middle East. Meir expresses her opposition to world powers applying decisions to small and sovereign states. She then says that the UN General Assemblys decision on the Jarring talks added an obstacle to his mission.
