May Day celebrations at the Brenner House in Tel Aviv open with a speech by Tel Aviv Labor Secretary Eliezer Schechter. A festive reception is held at the Brenner House Hall, attended by representatives of Tel Aviv Workers Council, worker committees and institutions. Members of professional associations and youth movements march with the general public in a parade, waving flags and folk dancing, later attending a festive rally on Tel Aviv beach. The rally opens with speeches by Schechter and Histadrut Secretary-General Pinhas Lavon, followed by various performances.
