Yitzhak Yoresh (1937-2023) was an animator and graphic designer. In 1959, he set up a graphic design studio in Tel Aviv with his wife, artist and designer Avigail Yoresh. In 1966, he started an animation studio in Jerusalem where he regularly made animated shorts and cartoon snippets for adverts, film and TV movies. In 1971, Yoresh founded the animation department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. He continued to head the department until 1996.
Yoresh got to showcase his art in a number of one-man shows including Works on the Theme of the Israeli Flag (Israel Museum, 1988), and My Israel, Do you Lry or Caugh [sic] (Tal Gallery, Kfar Vradim, 2007).
Highlights of his film credits include: Military Disciplinary Action (co-directed with Avigail Yoresh, 1968), Good to Know (1971), On the Morrow of Discharge (1971), Together (1971), and We Came to Israel (co-directed with Avigail Yoresh, 1973).
