Yael Abecassis is an actress, model, film producer and television personality. During the eighties in her teens, Abecassis began working as a model and in the early ‘90s, she starred in films, For Sasha (Alexandre Arcady, 1991) and Tel Aviv Stories (Ayelet Menahemi & Nirit Yaron, 1992.) Abecassis continued appearing in a string of films and at the same time, also joined the Children’s Channel as a fulltime presenter. She also starred in the series Prisoners of War, a role that won her a Television Academy Award. In addition to her onscreen career, Abecassis is actively involved in a number of social organisations and is a staunch advocate for women who have been victims of domestic violence.
