Shahar Rozen is a screenwriter and director. A graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School, Rozen is also a film lecturer and actor who follows the Chubbuck Method. His film, Liebe Perla (‘dear Perla’) (1999) was shown at multiple festivals round the world, taking home the Best Documentary Prize at the Turkish World Documentary Film Festival, the Magnolia Award at the Shanghai Film Festival, and another Best Documentary Award at Israel’s Docaviv’s International Documentary Film Festival. His 2003 film, Round Trip, won Best Film at Turin’s LGBTQ Lovers Film Festival. Anat Waxman, who starred in the film, won Best Actress at the Shanghai International Film Festival. In 2004, Rozen directed the film, Family Vacation.
