Evelyn Kaplun is an actress. Kaplun gained recognition for her debut film role in Yana’s Friends (1999), directed by her husband, director and screenwriter, Arik Kaplun. Her performance won her an Ophir Award in the Best Lead Actress category, and a Best Actress award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Kaplun later appeared in a host of films including Afula Express (1997, Julie Shles) and The Syrian Bride (2004, Eran Riklis). She was also nominated for an Ophir award for her roles in the films What a Wonderful Place (Eyal Halfon, 2005), and Intimate Grammar (Nir Bergman, 2010).
In the year 2000, the Kapluns relocated to the US for a number of years where Kaplun studied editing. On her return to Israel, she found work as Editing Assistant on teen action series, The Eight, and in films like Giraffes, Single Plus, and many more. In 2018, Kaplun edited Good Morning Son, a film by Sharon Bar-Ziv.
