Shlomi Elkabetz is a director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film teacher. Along with his sister, the late actress Ronit Elkabetz, he created the Viviane Amsallem trilogy: To Take a Wife (2004), 7 Days (2008), and Gett (2014). All three films in the trilogy were lauded by critics and enjoyed great box office success, whilst parts two and three each won a Wolgin Prize at the Jerusalem Film Festival. In 2011, he wrote and directed Edut (‘testimony’) that was showcased in the Venice Days section at the Venice Film Festival, and at the Haifa International Film Festival. In tandem with his film work, Elkabetz also directed the second season of TV series, The Ran Quadruplets (2010) and in 2019, he was cast as the lead in the HBO miniseries, Our Boys.
