Natalie Kaplan is a screenwriter and film director. A graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies, Kaplan directed her graduation project, Aquarium (1999) in her final year at school. The film was subsequently shortlisted for many high-profile Israeli and international film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival. Later on, Kaplan directed the film, Once There was a Girl (2016), which won the Best Film award at Greece’s LifeArt Festival, and a slew of other prizes and special mentions at various international film festivals in India, Italy, and Brazil, to name but a few.
