Jonathan Sagall is an actor, playwright, screenwriter, and director. Canadian-born Sagall and his family moved to Israel when he was three and settled up north in Haifa. He became a household name when Boaz Davidson cast him as teen heartthrob Momo in the smash hit franchise Lemon Popsicle (1978) and the majority of sequels that followed, including Going Steady (Boaz Davidson, 1979), Hot Bubblegum (Boaz Davidson, 1981), Private Popsicle (Boaz Davidson, 1983), Baby Love (Dan Wolman, 1983), Young Love: Lemon Popsicle 7 (Walter Bannert, 1987), and Summertime Blues (Reinhardt Schwabenitzky, 1988).
In 1983 Sagall starred in the late Amos Guttman’s trailblazing LGBT film, Drifting. His portrayal of Robbie earned him the Israeli Film Centre Award for Best Actor on behalf of the Department of Trade and Commerce. Highlights of his other film acting credits include The Megillah 83 (Ilan Eldad, 1983), The Little Drummer Girl (George Roy Hill, 1984), and Schindler’s List (Steven Spielberg, 1993).

Urban Feel won Best Film at the Haifa International Film Festival, made the official selection for the Berlin International Film Festival, and was shown at multiple other festivals round the world. Domestically, the film was nominated for a whopping 12 Ophir Awards, of which it ended up winning two: one going to Dafna Rechter who took home the trophy for Best Lead Actress, and Assi Levy who won Best Supporting Actress.
