A fictional film by the United Jewish Appeal, designed to raise funds to help rehabilitate Holocaust refugees The film takes place at the JDC refugee shelter, where a doctor arrives who escaped with his wife from the Nazis At the time of the escape, he thinks he has lost his wife, and he loses all hope for the future and the continuation of his life In the camp, he meets an Egyptian couple on their way to Israel, who manage to keep hope despite their loss In addition, the director of the refugee shelter convinces him to help in the clinic, which returns him to the profession of his youth and allows him to help other refugees To his surprise, his wife is one of the patients at the clinic and thus they reunite and step into a new life At the end of the film, the actress Agnes Morehead directly addresses the viewers asking them to donate.
