The Hadassah Women’s Organization: three short films presenting the extensive activities of the organization and its contribution to the building of the country in a kind of snapshot for 1964. In the first film, Miriam Herzog, an activist in the organization, tours the newly opened Hadassah Ein Karem hospital. She meets with doctors and goes through the existing wings and departments—the hospital wing, the pharmacy school, the research laboratories, the operating rooms, the mother and child wing, and more. She also talks about the hospital’s expansion plans.
In the second film, Genya, the mother of the house in the Ramat Hadassah youth village located in Kiryat Tivon, tells about her role and the children who come to the boarding school, as part of their immigration to Israel, Alonei Yitzhak Youth Village, and Yamin Ord Youth Village. The studies and the training given to the youth to integrate them into the construction of the country.
In the third film, the brothers Yael and Joachim Brauer receive professional guidance at the Hadassah Institute (the Hadassah Institute for Professional Training in Jerusalem), for their future professions in Israel. Different professions and many options are presented before them.
Among the doctors appearing in the film are Kalman Mann, Felix Seger, Yitzhak Michaelson, Moshe Rahmilevich, Moshe Prius, Dean of the School of Medicine.
