The film Platinum, which was produced by the Israeli Film Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Jewish Agency, tells the story of a platinum band composed of new greats from Russia and natives of Israel The band, which was founded by Aharon Kaminsky, united Roman Konsman, Alona Toral, Nahum Perferkovich, and Victor Fonorov, became one of the pioneers of jazz in Israel and managed to make the genre accessible to the heart of Israeli culture The film accompanies the band members and hears from them about the difficulties of absorption, differences between the Israeli mentality and that which was in their country of origin, and their aspirations for success as a band also on the international level.
