A film produced by the Hasbarah Center in collaboration with Israel’s Tourism Ministry, The association for Development of Old Jaffa, and the Tel-Aviv-Yaffo Municipality. The film presents the story of old Jaffa from its ancient roots to its reality in the 1960, at an early point in its branding as a touristic gem and an artist colony. The film concludes with a debut performance of the song “It is Jaffa, my dear, It is Jaffa”, sung by the 19 years-old Avi Toledano. Toledano is to become a prominent Israeli singer and the song will prove iconic and remains strongly associated with Jaffa to this day.
