A documentary produced for department of rural communities and the hasbarah department of the World Zionist Federation. It provides a look at the settlers of the northern Sinai, prior to their displacement in 1982. The film focuses on the lives of residents of Talmei Yosef, a moshav that existed only three years when the news came of the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt. The settlers, several of them newcomers from South Africa and the United States, express their doubts, frustrations and fears. Archival footage traces the story of the moshavim and of the town of Yamit.
