This short film presents the daily life of Israeli construction workers, as well as Palestinians (the latter are mentioned in brief) and promotes the Histadrut’s insurance plan. The film presents the the labor of the workers and the way it has changed over the years. A veteran workers recalls the days before mechanization. A walk on high scaffolds serves as an illustration for talk of safety, which the Histadrut holds should be the responsibility of contractors. The wives of workers are also mentioned. They are praised for preparing a sandwich for lunch. The film was produced for the Histadrut Center for Culture and Education and the Association of Construction Workers.
