The film An Old Custom in Israel, produced by Natan Gross and based on a study by David Davidovich, presenting ancient family customs that were common among Jewish communities throughout the diaspora, some of which have been revived in Israel. Various ancient amulets composed of lettering are presented in a museum. Narrator Ruth Rapaport presents customs as they are observed in Israel and how they were observed in the Diaspora, such as exorcism after birth and wedding customs in the various denominations.
