The film How Lovely Are Your TentsMa Tovu Ohalekha produced by Nehora describes the synagogue as the spiritual center of the Jewish religion wherever it is located Since the destruction of the Temple, synagogues have served as a gathering place for Jewish communities, where family reunions and celebrations have and often been held as a place of refuge and protection in times of need With the establishment of the state, hundreds of new synagogues were established and the remains of prayer houses were brought to Israel from all over the world The film presents excerpts from life in the synagogue such as joint prayers between fathers and sons, bar mitzvah ceremonies and the publication of a Torah scroll, Simchat Torah events, and Shemini Atzeret and the reading of a scroll on Purim Alongside sections of synagogues destruction in Germany, Italy, Poland, Jerusalem, and the Galilee, sections depicting the renewal in the form of new synagogues and the writing of Torah scrolls are presented
