A Herd of Sheep from Australia Becomes Acclimatised in Israel

At the Gilat agricultural farm in the Negev lives a herd of sheep from Australia and along with two herding dogs from New Zealand. Sheep from Australian regions with a similar climate to that of Israel, managed to acclimatize here, and within two years in the country, the herd grew almost threefold. The sheep are raised for the benefit of the meat and wool industries.
