The film is part of the New Sensitivity film movement known as the Israeli New Wave of the 1960s and 1970s, and is the first feature-length film directed by an Israeli female director. The lab staff is seen working on the film reels. Before Tomorrow was screened at the Berlin Film Festival and received good reviews.
