3000 Torah books are being donated from Romania in a delivery which arrived to Israel. The donation is by the Romanian Jewish community and with the help of the Romanian government, and the operation is assisted by the Chief Rabbi of Romanian Jewry, Rabbi Moshe Rosen. The Torah scrolls are from abandoned synagogues in Romania, whose communities extinct in the Holocaust, and the books have arrived in Israel. After they are examined, they are delivered to synagogues where Torah scrolls are missing. At a special ceremony held in the Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem, with the presence of Rabbi Moshe Rosen and other rabbis, the scrolls are distributed among synagogues in Israel, and in the audience are sitting men who are holding the donated Torah scrolls.
