Shooting the film Exodus in Haifa. Fans gather around the film set on Paris Square in downtown Haifa. Hollywood star Paul Newman arrives at the site on his scooter. Newman talks to director Otto Preminger and film stars Eva Marie Saint and Jill Howarth. Preminger directs actor Sal Mineu, who plays the character of Dov Landau. Lighting crews get ready for the shot, Newman sits in for a makeup session and Preminger is planning the camera movement. The directors assistant whistles to mark the scenes beginning. Mineu walks through the street as the camera and director follow him.
