A documentary produced by Histadrut about the paving of the Kurnub (Mampis)-Sodom Road.
The Sodom Road, one of the largest engineering projects undertaken by the young State of Israel, was designated to enable access to Dead Sea Works’ factories, the phosphate and copper mines in the Negev, and the area’s future settlements. The film emphasizes the contribution of Jewish laborers to the development of Israel. Another prominent theme is the melting pot policy of immigrants from different nations.
