A documentary produced by Histadrut about the settlement of Arad.
In an area rich with natural resources and sparsely populated, the development town of Arad is established in the early 60s. In a haste to settle the deserted land, the town’s planning and building are almost simultaneously carried out, and two years after the decision on its establishment the first settlers already move into its houses. This film revisits the milestones in Arad’s short history, and showcases the development enterprises around it: mining, gas drilling, archaeological excavations, and road paving.
