A documentary film about Ta’anakh Region, produced by the Israeli Film Service in collaboration with the Jewish Agency’s Settlement Department.
In 1956, families of new immigrants from across the world settled in ten moshavim in an area to the south of Israel’s Jezreel Valley. The settlers, many of whom had never before worked in agriculture, had to quickly adjust themselves to farming and a cooperative lifestyle. Fourteen years later, this film reviews the development of Ta’anakh Region’s moshavim. Interviews with locals make the impression that the settlers successfully adapted themselves to the new conditions, but still struggle with cultural differences between immigrants of various descents.
